Our Bronze Thumb Latches are two-way latches that can mount to both sides of your gate for access. This includes on one side a decorative, long lasting decorative plate with thumb depressor. When you depress the thumb, a latch-arm on the inside of the gate lifts and allows the gate to be opened. Our thumb latch is a gravity latch, so when osing the gate, the latch-arm will hit the strike, rise up and fall into the catch on its own.
